Project Manager/Estimator

Derek Gerlach joined Church & Murdock in 2022 after relocating from Florida, working as a Project Manager for a top 50, fast-growing Electric Company. Originally from Erie, PA, Derek started his career as an apprentice in 2008, obtained his journeyman license in 2012, and continued to work in the construction field until he transitioned into a Project Engineer role in 2018. After proving his value, not only working with his teammates, but also successfully completing every assigned project, he quickly moved into a Project Management/Estimating role in 2019. His experience ranges from small residential projects to large commercial jobs such as grocery stores, buildouts, shopping complexes, movie theaters, entertainment sites, medical centers, and federal buildings. Derek strives to get projects done on time, in budget and finding new ways to help our team become more efficient in their crafts. Outside of work, Derek enjoys spending time with family, playing golf and basketball, watching football, exercise, cooking, and appreciating the outdoors.
